Gibraltar 13 December, 2011 – 2011 may be coming to a close, but GSOP Live Season 2 is going strong and picking up momentum following its biggest event yet in Prague. Between 7-12 December, more than 500 party-loving players and their guests gathered at the Czech capital to share in the thrill of live championship poker in luxurious Old World style. In the spirit of the upcoming holiday season, the GSOP Live team decided to hold a free coin flip tournament for players in the main event, with 10 packages to the Salzburg event as the prizes. 10 lucky Prague qualifiers became even luckier when they each walked away with a ticket to the Salzburg event, valued at $2,900 USD each! Prague event winner Raigo Aasmaa took home €100,000 plus a $5,000 package to the GSOP Live Grand Final in the Dominican Republic and “Prague-ing” rights.
After a brief respite to regroup from the Prague extravaganza and see in the New Year, GSOP Live 2 will climb the Alps to Salzburg, Austria, 1-6 February, 2012. Online finals for GSOP Live Salzburg continue Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays until January 15, 2012 with Super Step Sundays running during the same period.
Salzburg next stop
GSOP Salzburg is the next event, and the last stop before April’s Grand Final in the tropical Dominican Republic. After racking up increasingly large crowds (and big wins) in Manchester, UK (August), Greece (October), and Prague (December), the live poker tour schusses its way through the Alps to its final European destination, Salzburg, in February 2012. From 1-6 February, GSOP Live is going alpine in St Johann im Pongau, which is right at the heart of Austria’s biggest ski area; the Salzburg Sportswelt.
GSOP Salzburg offers really high stakes at a super high altitude, so bring your friends, your skis and a winning attitude.
